ehk ILY, Chloe Moretz <3

Chloe to bring Emily the Strange to the big screen

Universal Pictures has acquired rights to the Dark Horse comic Emily The Strange, and Moretz is attached to play the title role of the odd but stylish young lady. The franchise was created by Rob Reger and his company Cosmic Debris in 1993 and it is licensed in 35 countries.

Aside from the expectation that Moretz will reprise her role as Hit-Girl in the Kick-Ass sequel, she is currently starring in the Martin Scorsese-directed Hugo Cabret, and opens in October in Let Me In, playing the young vampire in the remake of the Danish film Let The Right One In. She also stars in the upcoming drama The Fields. She’s repped by WME and 3 Arts.

Pic will be produced by Dark Horse’s Mike Richardson, and Reger will be exec producer along with Keith Goldberg.

“When I first met Chloe I knew I found my Emily,” Reger said. “She really identifies and understands the character, and has what it takes to bring her to life.”

Chloë Moretz mängib Emily the Strange Üheksakümnendate alguses ilmavalgust näinud kuulsast joonistegelasest Emily the Strange'ist tehakse linateos, kus tüdrukut hakkab mängima 13aastane Chloë Moretz ("Kick-Ass").
Rob Regeri loodud tegelasest sai kiiresti ikoon. Alates 1993. aastast on Emily the Strange'i levitatud 35 riigis. Moretz'i kohta ütles Reger ise järgmist: "Kui teda esmakordselt nägin, teadsin, et olen leidnud enda Emily. Ta tõesti mõistab seda tegelast ning teab, mida on tarvis tema kehastamiseks."
